Solar powered lighting has been around since the 1970s, but was not widely adopted until recently due to issues with costs and the requirement for large solar panels.
With the advent of LED lights, solar-powered lighting has become an increasingly flexible and economic solution to lighting needs. The use of LED solar powered lights has become so economical that many outdoor lighting applications are predicted to convert to solar LED technology.
Solar powered LED lights can be placed anywhere since they are not reliant on wiring to the electrical grid. They have their own self-contained powers supply and offer the ultimate in safe, secure, distributed and environmentally-friendly lighting.
Solar powered LED lights are becoming a common lighting source on our roads and highways, in aviation and many other transportation applications. Increasingly, solar powered LED lights are becoming more available for consumer applications as well.
