Cully ErdmanWhen your three passions in life revolve around three different sports in three dramatically different locations in three different seasons, you’ve got problems. Or, you just make the best of all worlds! |
Cully’s first love is skiing. He grew up on Vermont, raced for Middlebury College, then went straight to Aspen to become a ski bum in the early 70s. That’s when he started kayaking. Before long he was running some of the biggest, wildest rivers in North America, including the first descent of Devils Canyon on the Susitna River in Alaska. After several years guiding whitewater rafting and kayaking trips in Idaho, he moved to Moab, Utah, and started Slickrock Adventures. In the summers he guided river and mountain bike trips, and in the winter went skiing in the nearby LaSalle, Uinta or Wasatch mountains. Then he bought an island. In Belize. Where he set up a sea kayaking tour company that eventually morphed into a full scale water resort – offering scuba diving, surfing, kayaking and exploring trips all over Belize in addition to his private island on Glovers Reef. Cullys dream? Sell everything and move to Hood River to go windsurfing! And skiing… and mountain biking… and kayaking… Cully's Website - www.slickrock.com |
